What is Aadhar Card?
UIDAI full form is Unique Identification Authority of India, which has 12-digits number for the citizens of the India. The Aadhar card can be used as an ID, which will not replace PAN (Permanent Account Number), Driving license, Health care card, and Passport. The government opened several funnels so that you can find more about the Aadhar card and help yourself without any assistance, but sometimes you need guidance, which will make your Aadhar Card processing quickly.
*1 How to Check Aadhar Card Status by Enrolment Number?
Before you check your status, you must apply for the Aadhar card in your nearest authorized Aadhar center.
You cannot Apply for an Aadhar card online, and you have to be present physically for the Bio-metric data.
Once you have applied for the Aadhar card, it takes 15 days to generate your Aadhar card, and you will receive the Aadhar card within a month at your door step. When you receive a message and an Email on Aadhar card, which means, you have successfully enrolled for the Aadhar card.
If you haven’t received an Email and Message to your registered details, you can move on to check the status of your enrollment online.Below are the steps to check aadhar card status.
Step 1: Open your browser and go to uidai.gov.in.
Step 2: Scroll down a little, check on the first column, where you can find all services, in “Aadhar enrollment,” you should find “Check Aadhar card status” in the third row.
Note: It does not matter, how many times the site has been updated, the Quick Links will always in the same column.
Step 3: You have a pop-up on your screen and click on “Ok, ” and it will open another Windows, where everything will go down.
Step 4: Now you have two things to fill, Enrolment ID and Exact Date and Time of the Enrolment.
- First check the image below of the enrollment slip, where you can find the allotted enrollment id, type in the first column.
- You have the exact time and date of the enrollment, which you have to type in the second column.
Step 5: Enter the security code, which is right beside it.
Step 6: Click on “Check Status.”
Step 7: If all credentials are correct you should be able to see the result.

*2 How to Check Aadhar Card Status Using Maadhar App an Android and iOS App?
We are going to skip this part because the UIDAI has released only one app under the Official app, which is called mAadhar, which happens to be for the people who have received an Aadhar card to their home.
Rest of the apps on the app store cannot be trusted because the non-UIDAI team develops them. When it comes to a most valuable identification card, you should not take any unnecessary risk of giving away your information.
We wouldn’t recommend you to try on Aadhar card related apps on play store unless the UIDAI team has developed it.
*3 Check Adhar Card Status by Sending an SMS?
We are going to show you the first official method, which has released by the UIDAI to check the status from your mobile.
- Remember, you must use the registered mobile number. If you are not sure, then check the old messages, which has sent by the UIDAI team after the enrollment.
- The messages are chargeable, and it will cost Rs.3/Message. Few operators charge even more.
Step 1: Create a Message from your registered mobile number.
Step 2: You need to have the enrollment number, which can be found in your enrolled slip.
Step 3: Now Type “UID STATUS” <14-Digit Enrolment Number>.” Follow the next step.
Step 4: Take a look at the snap shot we have prepared for you and make sure to follow the exact process.
Step 5: Now send it to 51969, which is a chargeable service.
Step 6: If you Aadhar card are generated, then you will receive the number of your Aadhar card. In case, if it is pending, then it tells you about the status.
